Our joint APCM, where all four parishes in the benefice meet together, is at 10:30am, 10th May 2026 at All Saints, West Haddon.
Each year our parish churches hold an AMP (Annual Meeting of Parishioners) and APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting).
These meetings allow us to look back at the previous calendar year and to celebrate all that happened during that year.
The Annual Meeting of Parishioners is normally quite short and is where church wardens are elected for the year.
The APCM is the longer meeting, this year we are holding it as part of the service as we gather our four parish churches together.
We also produce a set of reports so people can understand where we are with things:
- Deanery Synod.
- Where local CofE churches meet together a few times a year to discuss issues across the wider geographic area, have guest speakers on common issues and to worship together. Each parish church normally has at least one person who goes - the Deanery Synod Representative.
- Safeguarding.
- So that we can be sure that we are doing everything we can to keep people safe our Safeguarding Officer produces a report showing if we are up to date with our training and checks and highlights safeguarding work done over the year.
- PCC Annual Report.
- Each PCC (Parochial Church Council - the group who are responsible for the governance of the local church) produces a report showing what has happened during the year. This can include significant church events, any community work each church does and more.
- Churchwarden's Fabric Report.
- Our churchwarden's produce a short report giving an outline of the condition of our church buildings and any work that has been undertaken on them during the year.
- Audited Accounts.
- Each church treasurer produces a set of accounts so everyone can see the financial position of the church, our income and what we're spending our money on.
- Electoral Roll
- The electoral roll is effectively the membership list of the parish church, those who have committed themselves to being part of church life. Each parish has one and there is a short report on the numbers of people on the electoral roll and how many have been added or taken off the list.
THE AMP IS OPEN TO ALL, THE APCM IS OPEN TO THOSE ON THE ELECTORAL ROLL AND CAN BE OPEN TO MORE BY INVITATION. THIS YEAR ALL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.
