St Lawrence Church Restoration
St Lawrence Church has stood at the centre of the village life for
over 700 years.
Throughout the years the church has hosted weddings, funerals, Remembrance, Infant & Junior School Services, music concerts,Christmas Tree and Art Festivals, Crib Services, etc.
The recent installation of the Community Shelf is proving a great success. However, all these activities are in jeopardy from a leaking roof.
Urgent repairs are required to the roof and also the bell tower.
The initial phase to replace the south aisle roof will cost £100,000.
We are applying to various organisations, but grants are often given on condition that they will match money we raise.
